Norma M. Kappmeyer, 93, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, at Oelwein Health Care Center in Oelwein.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein with Rev. Randy Baldwin officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and for one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church.
Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Norma Mae Maser was born October 21, 1931, in Arlington, Iowa, the daughter of Lesley LaVern and Leola (Stowell) Maser. She graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington. On September 30, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert Raymond Kappmeyer. Norma was employed as a custodian at City Laundry in Oelwein. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein and Zion WELCA. Norma enjoyed gardening, hand quilting, embroidery work, volunteering and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her children: Cindy (Steve) Jensen of Oelwein, Lowell (Sue) Kappmeyer of Moscow, Idaho and Rhonda Prickett (friend, Candy Errett) of Sumner; daughter-in-law: Lori Kappmeyer of Ames; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Harold Maser of Oelwein and Ron Maser of Oelwein; 2 sisters: Dorothy Thein of Arlington and Mary Fish of Oelwein; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bob on May 21, 1991; 3 sons: Nathan Kappmeyer on September 1, 2015, Mark Kappmeyer on November 2, 2018, and Robert “Bob” Kappmeyer, Jr. on May 15, 2023; granddaughter: Amanda Burns; brother: Leo Maser; sister: Darlene Puffett; and great grandson: Dakota Kappmeyer.
