Evelyne Brimmer Rubino, 84, long-time resident of Oelwein, Iowa passed peacefully on Sunday evening, November 6, 2011 at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein. Visiting with Family: 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein. Private Family Inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online Obituary at: www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Evelyne Jean Brimmer was born on August 20, 1927 at Independence, Iowa, the youngest daughter of 9 children to John & Nellie J. (Brooks) Brimmer. She graduated from Independence High School in 1946 and went to work in the office of Rath Packing Company in Waterloo. Evelyne married the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Francisco Rubino on November 6, 1950 at Des Moines, Iowa. Although they divorced in 1978, they remained friends and companions until Tony's passing on October 12, 2004. Evelyne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and truly enjoyed socializing in her later years by attending bingo games and meeting her friends for lunch at the Senior Center. She truly loved her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed the Holidays. Evelyne is survived by her 2 Daughters: Tonetta (Tom) Fangman of Dundee and Pam (Greg) Loban of Houston, Texas; 2 Grandchildren: Edward (Tasha) Fangman of LaPorte, Texas and Andrew Fangman of Dundee; 3 Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Sydney and Ashton & Several Nieces and Nephews. Evelyne was preceded in death by her Parents, 6 Sisters, 2 Brothers and a Grandson (Christopher Fangman).
