Eldo Martin Wolfgram Obituary (1946

Eldo M. Wolfgram, 65, of Hazleton, Iowa died on Monday morning, January 9, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Pastor Duane Olsen officiating. Visitation: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday and for one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein, Iowa. He was adopted as an infant to loving parents, Ernest William & Lena Mary (Smith) Wolfgram of Westgate, Iowa. He attended country school at Harlan #1 at Westgate, Iowa and also attended Special Education classes at Oelwein. In his younger days, he worked on the home farm and also helped neighboring farmers. He especially enjoyed driving tractors. He also worked on a tiling crew for several years. In 1975 Eldo moved to and worked at the Fayette County Farm. He continued to live there after their conversion to the Prairie View Residential Care Facility until he moved to Oelwein in the mid 1990's. In Oelwein he worked under the Goodwill program. At the present time he was retired and resided in Hazleton with the assistance of Full Circle Services, Inc. He loved to socialize and was a very generous person. He also loved driving his red moped in parades and around town. Eldo was involved in Special Olympics for many years. He enjoyed attending services at the First Presbyterian Church in Hazleton. Eldo is survived by his Brother: Elmer (Jeanette) Wolfgram of Westgate; Niece: Emily (Tom) Joecken of Readlyn; Grand Nephew: T.J. Joecken of Readlyn; Grand Niece: Brooke Joecken of Readlyn and a host of friends that he has made throughout the years socializing. He was preceded in death by his parents.
