Dale Dean Robbins was born on April 29, 1936 in Clayton County, Iowa, the son of Vernon Richard and Maxine Louise (Nading) Robbins. He graduated from Strawberry Point High School at Strawberry Point, Iowa in 1954. Dale married Mary Louise Combs on January 22, 1956 at the Union Church at Stanley, Iowa. He was an incoming materials inspector at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, Iowa. Dale was a member of the Iowa National Guard, AMVETS, and the Good Sam Camping Club where he was a former state director. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping and genealogy.
Dale is survived by : 3 Daughters—Katherine (Dean) Stumme of New Hampton, Iowa Brenda Robbins (James Anderson) of Monroe, North Carolina Amy (Larry) Hoppe of Grand Rapids, Michigan 2 Sons—Dean (Christine) Robbins of Clarksville, Iowa Brian (Jaime) Robbins of Waverly, Iowa 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren 3 Brothers—Gene Robbins of Strawberry Point, Iowa Gary (Kim) Robbins of Mallard, Iowa Jerry (Deb) Robbins of Boscobel, Wisconsin 3 Sisters—Ardola (Ron) Maser of Oelwein, Iowa Merna (Vance) Gregerson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa Carol Marshall of Tomah, Wisconsin
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife (Mary Louise Robbins on October 5, 2001); brother (LaVerne Robbins) and a sister in infancy (Lola Jane Robbins).
